One of the best ways for people to make money online today is by building and monetising a website – even multiple websites. In this Affiliate Lab Review we’re going to take a look at a course by Matt Diggity that teaches people how to do this and we’ll see how effective it is, how much it costs and whether it’s a good offer for you if you want to go down the road of running your own online business the legit way.
Let’s dive in!
Affiliate Lab Overview
So what is The Affiliate Lab? Well, it is an affiliate marketing course where you will learn how build a site, draw traffic to it, monetise it and then put it up for sale.
An interesting concept – not many trainers in affiliate marketing talk about selling websites. But a good website can sell for many thousands of dollars.
Within the package you get access to the following features:
Beginners Lab: This will get you started off with all the basics. Here is where you will learn to set up a WordPress site, get hosting, learn about SEO, Google Analytics other related things.
Affiliate Lab Fb Group: You will be given access to the private Facebook Group where you will be able to ask questions freely and have them answered. This is sometimes a great way to make fast progress in the knowledge you need.
CRO Masterclass: In the Conversion Rate Optimization masterclass, you will learn tips on how to monitor and increase your affiliate sales, thus helping you get the most out of monetising your site as an affiliate
Competitor’s Snippets: Here you will be shown tricks and strategies on how to get the upper hand against your competitors and be the one who stands out. Much of marketing involves keeping up with and doing better than the competition.
Authority Blueprint: Having a presence online is important. But you don’t just want that, you want a big presence. Here you will be learning how to turn your site from being ordinary, to being an authority site which will be able to bring in far more traffic for you and increase your revenue as a result.
Website Selling Masterclass: This is where you will be learning all about how website flipping works and how it can become a key feature of your business. Note however, that you don’t have to sell the sites you create.
But the idea is that you will be listing sites for sale for a far higher price than you’ve actually spent on them.
They will of course need to have a proven track record of getting consistent traffic and sales.
Outreach Masterclass: This will teach you how to expand your reach with paid search and build links.
Website Rescue Toolkit: Here you’ll be taught how to protect and mend your site against things like updates and penalties (punishments from Google).
Email Marketing: Lastly, you’ll be learning how to set up an email autoresponder and attach this to your site so that you can gather leads from organic traffic and build a following which you can later promote offers to separately.
How Does The Affiliate Lab Work?
The training is designed in such a way as to help you build profit ready sites which you can then sell online. This is quite a process but it is possible with enough time and effort.
Once you are ready to sell, you first decide whether you really want to sell the site or keep it going and try to increase its revenue.
Personally, I don’t like the idea of buying ready-made websites, especially if the buyer is a newbie who doesn’t want to bother with setting up their own website. But if they don’t know what they’re doing, this won’t end up well for them in the long run, but that’s besides the point.
Who is The Affiliate Lab For?
The Affiliate Lab can be for beginners and also those looking at ways to sell websites, but there is a lot to it. The course is a deep dive.
You have to be up for some pretty in-depth stuff like checking stats, finding the best affiliate programs and examining website data, as well as many other fairly technical things.
How Much Does the Affiliate Lab Cost?
The program comes at a price of $997, one time fee which includes above mentioned bonuses.
Currently the price is still the same although I’ve heard they may be increasing it. There does seem to be an option for payment being made in 2 installments of $597.
Overall, there is quite good value here for money considering everything you get inside, such as the Facebook private group, the lifetime updates just the sheer amount of information provided.
The Pros
- The Affiliate Lab is a very comprehensive training course.
- It is kept updated
- It has a private Facebook group
- There are many good reviews and testimonials for it
- The training is clear and good quality
The Cons
- Possible extra costs for the tools you will need to run websites etc.
- A serious investment in time and money. You’d better be in for a long ride and prepared to invest
- There is no refund policy so you’ll want to be really sure you know what you’re spending your money on
Final Thoughts
I think it’s a pretty good course but that price tag is certainly a bit off-putting for me.
Matt Diggity has put together something fairly in-depth, but I still think there’s better options out there. It’s not going to be easy to follow what he says and actually get an authority site and start selling it and other sites as well. That is very difficult to do and could easily take years.
His own site is known to not have much traffic coming in every month which is quite an eye-popper.
For an affiliate marketing all in one platform, where you can learn and have access to all the required tools and live help, you don’t need to look further than the Wealthy Affiliate community.
It’s far more affordable and even comes with a free starter membership. No credit card required. You can literally get started straight away and get a good feel for things. Then you can upgrade to Premium and avail of a discount, if you are happy with what’s offered.
This is the way I’ve made progress with affiliate marketing and thanks to Wealthy Affiliate, I run my own successful online business. It still needs work, but I’m on track and have received excellent value for money.
That concludes my take on Affiliate Lab. Leave some comments below if you’d like to share some of your own experiences and ideas.
