Hello and welcome this ‘how to’ walk-through for finding keywords for SEO. Whether you are a blogger or a YouTuber, you should be able to find this informative and useful. I will give a scenario of how I would go about this and you will have the liberty to follow along.

Identifying your SEO Needs

To get ranked on search engines, such as Google, Bing and Yahoo, you will need to produce your content under certain workable keywords so as to appear in search results. This is how to generate organic traffic to your online business or presence.

For example, if I were in the basketball niche and wanted to target players who are looking for tips to improve their skills, I could write a blog article along the lines of useful tips for basketball players. But I would need to make sure I did my keyword research first. If I just guessed and took a shot in the dark with it by giving my article the title, ‘Basketball Tips,’ I would likely miss out on attracting visitors to this page because a title like ‘Basketball Tips’ is going to be far to broad and too competitive.

So what I need is not only to extend the title of the blog article, but to do some research on a good keyword that is low enough competition, brings in some traffic every month and makes grammatical sense.

Finding a Keyword Research Tool

A keyword research tool that works perfectly for me is Jaaxy, a sophisticated, fast and accurate tool produced by the Wealthy Affiliate creators who specialise in everything website related, including the website’s monetisation.

For my full review of Jaaxy Keyword Research Tool, read this article.

With Jaaxy, I can find numerous keywords based on the topic of tips to improve basketball skills. I would be looking for a keyword that has a QSR (Quoted Search Results) of under 400, somewhere between 200-300 ideally. This will ensure that I don’t end up with one that has too much competition.

Next, I want to make sure it brings in some traffic every month. (Don’t worry if it’s only 10 clicks per month). With the growth of your site and the other articles based on the same niche, it will all add up.

Finally, as mentioned before, it will need to make sense so that I can use it for a grammatically correct title for my web page.

Right, now we are going to demonstrate with Jaaxy. I will put the words ‘basketball tips skills’ into the research tool and see what keywords it fetches for us. (It works in seconds). One search will bring back tons of powerful information.

Let’s see what it brings up. Refer to the image below, Fig. 1. Then see the rest of the results on in Fig. 2.

(Fig. 1.)

The boxes marked with a blue tick are the keywords I would choose and save to my list. I have four already that I could use for my article/content. Let’s scroll further down and see if we can find some more.

(Fig. 2.)

Oh right! So as you can see, I found a further six keywords! That’s 10 awesome keywords I can use and that are calculated to get me ranked on the search engines and bring me traffic and potential conversions.

Being Keyword Conscious in your Content

I would also want to use the same keyword as my title somewhere in my article, preferably within the first few sentences. This can help improve ranking. However, be warned that you need to be natural in your writing and content.

Don’t over think how the whole algorithm works because it will drive you up the wall. It’s being modified and updated all the time anyway. So, while it’s good to be conscious of it, you really don’t want to stress much over having the keyword in other places within the content of your article as well.

Just make a point of trying to fit it into the first few lines, and for the rest, just write away naturally, staying on topic of course and without knowing it, you will typing in all kinds of other keywords that can and will help you with SEO.

Sticking to the Formula

If you are going with Jaaxy for your keyword research tool, it will still take you some time and a fair bit of work before you see results.

But you will get there a lot quicker than with the majority of other keyword tools out there.

Just stick to the formula of looking up the right keywords using the clever and effective features within Jaaxy, and using them for your content creation. Once some of your articles start appearing in search engines, people will find you and can find further content from you once they are on your site.

All you need is a few articles that are ranking well in order to attract a decent amount of traffic. It is important to link to other articles and/or other sites that you own within most, if not all of your content.

Getting Down to Business

Now you will likely want to try Jaaxy for yourself and get a taste of how it operates. To do this, you can Start a Free Account Right Here and see how you like it.

You can also put a keyword into the search box below and see some instant results. With this tool, you will be very powerful online. I’ve personally tried many others. Even the Google Keyword planner I found to be too vague and imprecise.
